We have a workforce of people who have a broad range of mental health experiences, including managing a mental health condition, experiences of trauma and emotional distress, living with long term health issues, or caring for someone who is managing a mental health condition or in emotional distress. Our lived experience infrastructure brings the collective voice of lived experience expertise to the heart of real and sustainable change across Dorset.
Through Recovery Education and with support, our workforce have an opportunity to reframe their experiences to make a real difference to other people’s lives. We know that this is important for our own Recovery and also in supporting the Recovery journeys of others.
There are many different roles within our organisation. As well as people working across our different project and delivery areas, the people in our infrastructure roles also have their own lived experience, which they draw on during the course of their day-to-day work.
